Party in the Old People’s House in La Romana

In the Home Care “La Romana”, we celebrate once a month the birthday of the lovely old people who live there. We bring food, drinks and when we can, musicians, but the most important thing, we give them company, something they appreciate a lot.

These celebrations are possible thanks to people who are always ready to do something to help and they are doing it with lot of love. We are talking about: Restaurante Como en Casa, Baya Tours and Villa Baya, Restaurante Bocayate, Restaurante Massimo, Restaurante Mama Mia, Restaurante la Punta, Restaurante Leidy and Mariposa Tours.

I am specially grateful to all those volunteers who spend some of their own time in making this lovely old people happy: big thanks to Santi, who has the skill to make them laugh even to those who cannot get up from their bed. Carlos, Elena, Aida, who has never left us since the first time she came an felt touched for what she saw, Andrea, Marino, Marco y Manuela, Carolina, Clara, Monica, Emanuela, Sarubi, Rafael, Edwin, Marta, Dakli, Charito and so many others from whom I don’t remember the names but I’ll never forget their lovely presence and love.
